About Riverview Farm
Riverview Farm is a working farm on the banks of the Kafue River, just outside Kafue town and roughly an hour’s drive south of Lusaka. It is one of those quietly local spots that you will not find in guidebooks — a grassy riverside stretch where you can pitch a tent, light a braai, and watch the river go by.
[TO VERIFY] The farm offers simple camping with plenty of open space, shade trees, and direct access to the riverbank. Facilities are basic, so come prepared as you would for bush camping: bring your own gear, food, and drinking water.
Because it is so close to Lusaka, Riverview Farm works well both as an easy weekend escape and as a day-trip picnic spot. Sunsets over the Kafue River here are genuinely spectacular.
I have camped here myself — photos from my own stay are coming soon.
